The quick, responsive steering helps the buttoned-down feeling, though we found it requires a bit more muscle than we'd expect for comfortable low-speed maneuvering. ![]() You're not going to lose your lunch if your drive is particularly curvy. It's no sports car, but body roll is mild and kept in check better than on most other small crossovers. That's slower than a turbo CX-5 we tested but still decently quick for a small SUV. Zero-to-60 mph acceleration in our testing took 7.2 seconds. You're never short on power, and the transmission is good at finding the right gear at the right time. The upgraded turbocharged engine, which is what our test CX-50 had, is powerful and helps make the CX-50 one of the quickest vehicles in its class. Mazda's vehicles tend to be among the best-driving models in their classes, and the CX-50 is no different. How does the CX-50 drive? Mazda has made a concerted effort over the years to inject a bit of driving joy into all of its products, and for the most part it works. Check out our test team's Expert Rating below for a complete evaluation of the CX-50's performance, utility and more. Among these choices, the CX-50 is an excellent alternative for those seeking a fun and engaging drive. Key rivals to the CX-50, besides its CX-5 sibling, include the redesigned Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4. But the CX-50 is rated to tow more - up to 3,500 pounds with the turbo engine, which is quite good for a small SUV and enough to easily pull a small trailer or boat. Yes, these are the same engines offered with the CX-5. ![]() You can choose between the base 187-horsepower four-cylinder engine and the more muscular turbo version that cranks out a healthy 256 hp when using 93 octane gas. The 2023 CX-50 will be Mazda's first vehicle to come out of the new Huntsville, Alabama, plant that is a joint venture with Toyota. There's also the CX-50 Meridian Edition that adds all-terrain tires. Depending on the trim level, the CX-50 also has either 8.3 or 8.6 inches of ground clearance the latter figure is comparable to the outdoorsy Subaru Forester's (8.7 inches). Much of the CX-50's adventure abilities can be attributed to the off-road drive mode that cleverly combines the steering and traction control systems to keep the vehicle on its intended path with ease. ![]() ![]()

If SurfRider is going to change the scallops because it's tourist season or because they couldn't obtain the typically Hugh tasty scallops they should at least warn people and even better lower the price. 54 reviews of Surf Rider East Beach 'Amazingly beautiful spot at the marina on the Chesapeake Bay. These are not the typical scallops I've been eating for years. I at that point didn't even want to eat anything but the people at my reunion insisted I did. I was so pumped up waiting for the Hugh scallops but was totally disappointed when presented to me were these marble size things the waitress called scallops. It was easy if people were trained in med school, and it was hard for practitioners who had never had computerized electronic records and things like that,” said Seaver.Īs Leiter aged into his 90s, he refused to stop working – even as his health began to deteriorate. “He wanted to lead the way on helping physicians adjust to the changes and of course depending on what decades you were trained in, and so on. So he always served a major role with the medical staff.”Īs the medical world entered the 21st century, Seaver said Leiter was, once again, a pioneer – advocating for the latest technologies available and making advances in digital record keeping at the hospital. “When high levels of differences arise among physicians, he would be in the middle of the pro and con issues that might need discussion. “He was an active member and served on almost all the different committees that were self-governing and there was always a moderate voice,” said Seaver. Following this he ended up on several committees and grew the admiration of anyone who worked under him. Leiter’s hard work did not go unnoticed at Henry Mayo and in 1983, he became the CEO of the Family Medical Center. I mean, he could easily just have said, ‘I’m not interested, there’s no money in that.’ It was a purely volunteer move, he might have gotten something little, but it wasn’t, it wasn’t a money move.” They needed my dad because of his medical background. And if you’re not familiar, he would get calls in the middle of the night and he had learned how to rappel off mountains and all kinds of crazy stuff…. “So they asked my dad to join this division of the sheriff’s which was called Search and Rescue. “The reason he did that, you’ll see a lot of consistency here with my dad, he said that the sheriff’s needed people with medical training,” said Greg. Like today, the hills and open spaces surrounding the SCV were popular hiking spots and people would get injured and needed to be airlifted. In 1978 he assisted the Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team. In the midst of teaching and caring for the community, Leiter also found the time to help out local law enforcement. But he to give a lot to people in the community.” ![]() Really selfless, not a taker… He didn’t want people to give a lot to him. “Always trying to, you know, give people advice if he could in any way, was much more of a giver. “That was my dad, just always, always trying to help people,” said Greg. In addition to his duties at Henry Mayo, Leiter was also a clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Medicine and Northridge Hospital Family Practice Residency Program. He was a man of few words, but if he spoke, we all listened… he just stood out as an obvious leader without really carrying a big stick, so to speak. “He was a perfect gentleman to work with. “He was a pioneer in that sense and the company that ultimately bought that hospital did it to have both the medical staff that he had organized, as well as employees and volunteers that were active in that first hospital all move to Henry Mayo when it opened in 1975,” said Roger Seaver, president and CEO of Henry Mayo. It made more sense to treat patients locally, especially as the population began to grow. At the time, Leiter would have to frequently send patients to the San Fernando Valley – a dangerous, and often life-threatening trek, if the patient needed urgent care. ![]() Greg said his father then went about recruiting other doctors to come to the area and to the new hospital. So my dad at a very young age, you know, he would have been in his early 30s, was the only doctor in Santa Clarita.” “The story goes that, I heard very consistently my whole life, was that when he came out of medical school and went out there and opened his practice, there was one or two older doctors that within a few years. “My mom, being from sort of farm country in western Arkansas, said, ‘Why don’t we go out to a growing area, more rural where, you know, where they really respect the doctors and you can kind of start your own thing.’ So that’s what brought him out there,” said Greg. ![]() SCV Signal News Podcast with Aron Bender. ![]() ![]() ![]() However, the primary responsibility of data architects involves constructing and maintaining the technical infrastructures and policy frameworks for the secure and efficient collection, storage, and distribution of data within an organization. While data engineers are typically tasked with the technical challenge of constructing and maintaining an organization’s data storage and distribution system, and data analysts and data scientists generally handle functions related to data modeling, data interpretation, and data reporting, their roles may overlap. In order to address these concerns effectively, data architects rely on a deep knowledge of contemporary data technology systems, including common operating and database systems, networking protocols, data analytics tools and methods, business intelligence software, and other data-centric elements of IT infrastructures. ![]() These are broad concerns that may require the attention of a data architecture group or department in larger organizations. In its TOGAF guidelines, the Open Group delineates three primary areas of concern for data architects: data management data migration and data governance. ![]() As a consequence, it can be useful to conceptualize data architecture more broadly as a logical outgrowth of a business strategy or business architecture, which itself may follow from a larger strategic plan, sometimes referred to as enterprise architecture. In practice, it can be difficult to draw a clear line between data architecture and business, applications, and technical architectures, depending on the nature of an organization, its goals, and its size. Technical architecture, or technology architecture, which describes the hardware, software, and network infrastructure needed to support the deployment of core, mission-critical applications.Applications architecture, which provides a blueprint for the individual systems to be deployed, the interactions between the application systems, and their relationships to the core business processes of the organization.Data architecture, which describes the structure of an organization’s logical and physical data assets and the associated data management resources.Business architecture, which defines the business strategy, governance, organization, and key business processes of the organization. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) describes four types of architecture: The Open Group, a consortium of IT industry leaders committed to “the development of open, vendor-neutral technology standards and certifications” in the realm of data technologies, maintains a framework for understanding data architecture in the context of other aspects of an organization’s IT infrastructures. In terms of organizational structure, data architecture may encompass personnel who have access to relevant and potentially sensitive data, policies governing data access, and the protocols for the secure distribution of data to relevant parties, including analytics specialists, operations managers, marketing departments, and others, depending on the size and type of the organization. From an IT standpoint, an organization’s data architecture typically includes data storage and warehousing systems (e.g., databases), computer networks that serve as data pipelines and provide access to stored data, and software platforms and analytics applications that process data in order to further an organization’s goals. Data Architectureĭata architecture refers both to the IT systems that facilitate the collection, storage, distribution, and consumption of data within an organization, and to the policies that govern how data is collected, stored, distributed, and accessed within an organization. They also typically work with members of a data team, which may include data engineers, data miners, data scientists, and data analysts, in areas related to data collection, data storage, data security, and data systems access. ![]() Data architects may act as liaisons between the IT side of an organization and other departments, aligning data collection and distribution policies with the organization’s operational and strategic objectives. Home > Online Analytics Degree Programs > FAQs > FAQ: What Is a Data Architect? Question: What Is a Data Architect?Īnswer: A data architect is an information technology (IT) specialist who designs and manages data systems, sets policies for how data is stored and accessed, coordinates various data sources within an organization, and integrates new data technologies into existing IT infrastructures. ![]() ![]() ![]() SAFETY FEATURES: Front Headlight with on/off Switch, Rear Reflector Light, Speed Control Sensor, Dual Disc Braking System to Provide Superior Safety.4" Fat Tires Allow you to Even Ride in Snow, Mud and Sand! It also anonymizes users by bouncing their web traffic through a randomized series of encrypted servers located around the world. So, if the Deep Web is not indexed by normal search engines, how do users navigate it? The answer lies in browser software called The Onion Router, or Tor for short. The total quantity of the deep web is 1000-2000X greater than the quantity of the Surface Web. It is the largest expanding category of new information on the Internet. It is hidden from the outside world, so standard search engines do not index it. The Deep Web is worldwide Web content that is not included as a part of the Surface Web.
